EMS Player Guide
This guide covers everything EMS personnel need to know about using ARS Ambulance.
Getting Started

Accessing the EMS Menu
Section titled “Accessing the EMS Menu”There are three ways to access EMS actions:

Hospital Features

Medical Supplies Shop

- Purchase medical items including:
- Medical Bag ($1,000)
- Medikit ($250)
- Morphine, Percocet, Vicodin (various prices)
Hospital Beds
Section titled “Hospital Beds”Self-Service:
- Approach an available bed
- Press
Eto lie down - Press
Eto exit
EMS Placement:
- Approach a bed with target system
- Select “Place nearby patient”
- Nearest injured player within 3 units will be placed
Check-In System
Section titled “Check-In System”- Location: Pillbox Hospital - Main Floor
- Cost: $3,000
- Process time: 15 seconds
- Patient is automatically placed in a bed
Changing Uniforms
Section titled “Changing Uniforms”- Location: Pillbox Hospital - Lower Level

Vehicle Garage

Patient Care
Section titled “Patient Care”Diagnosing a Patient
Section titled “Diagnosing a Patient”- Open EMS Actions Menu (F6)
- Select “Check Patient’s Condition”
- Wait 7 seconds for diagnosis
- View injury report in popup
Injury Types:
- Shot - Gunshot wounds
- Stabbed - Knife wounds
- Beat - Blunt force trauma
- Burned - Fire/explosion injuries
Severity Levels: None, Mild (25%), Moderate (50%), Severe (75%), Deadly (100%)
Reviving a Patient
Section titled “Reviving a Patient”Requirements:
- Defibrillator item in inventory
- Patient within 3.0 units
- Patient must be unconscious/dead
Steps:
- Approach patient
- Select “Revive Unconscious Patient”
- Wait 15 seconds for CPR animation
- Patient revives with partial health
Healing a Patient
Section titled “Healing a Patient”Requirements:
- Medikit item in inventory
- Patient within 2.0 units
- Patient must be alive
Steps:
- Select “Heal Wounded Patient”
- Wait 5 seconds
- Patient heals 25 HP (or full 200 HP if no injuries)
Medikit Laststand Revive (NEW v2.7)
Section titled “Medikit Laststand Revive (NEW v2.7)”Overview: If enabled by your server, medikits can now be used to revive players who are in laststand (incapacitated but not fully dead).
Requirements:
- Medikit item in inventory
- Downed player within 2.0 units (default, configurable by server)
- Player must be in laststand (not fully dead)
How It Works:
When you use a medikit near a player in laststand, you’ll see a context menu with two options:

| Heal Yourself (heart icon) | Use medikit on yourself (normal behavior) |
| Revive [Player Name] (user icon) | Use medikit to revive the downed player |
Reviving from Laststand:
- Select “Revive [Player Name]” from context menu
- CPR animation plays (5 seconds)
- Downed player is revived with partial health (20% by default)
- Medikit is consumed
Important Notes:
- Revived player has low health and needs proper medical attention
- Feature may not be enabled on all servers (server-admin choice)
- Detection range is configurable by server administrators
- Works for both EMS and civilian players (if enabled)
- Context menu uses ox_lib with visual icons for clarity
Balance:
- The revived player receives only 20% health (configurable)
- This maintains gameplay balance - they still need proper treatment
- Prevents medikits from being overpowered
Note: This is an opt-in feature that must be enabled by server administrators. If you don’t see the context menu option, your server may not have this feature enabled.
Treating Specific Injuries

Bandages (Optional)
Section titled “Bandages (Optional)”Some servers enable a bandage system for self-treatment of minor injuries.
Requirements:
- Bandage item (if enabled by server)
- Must not be in critical condition
Effects:
- Restores 30 HP
- Takes 7 seconds to apply
- Can only be used on self
Note: This feature is disabled by default and must be enabled by server administrators.
Pain Medication
Section titled “Pain Medication”The hospital shop sells various pain medications that provide temporary relief and effects.

How to Use

- Effects apply automatically
Medical effects vary by server configuration. Consult your server’s documentation for specific gameplay effects.
Warning: These are controlled substances. Use responsibly in roleplay scenarios.
Sedating a Patient
Section titled “Sedating a Patient”Requirements:
- Sedative item
- Target within 2.0 units
Effect: Target is sedated for 8 seconds

Loading Patient:

- Select “Add or Remove Patient” on stretcher
- Patient is placed on stretcher
Loading into Vehicle:
- Approach ambulance with stretcher
- Select “Place in Vehicle”
Unloading:
- Select “Deploy/Load Stretcher” from EMS menu
- Stretcher unloads with patient
Crutches and Wheelchairs
Section titled “Crutches and Wheelchairs”Giving:
- Have crutch/wheelchair item
- Select from EMS menu
- Patient receives mobility aid
Removing:
- Select “Remove Crutch/Wheelchair” from menu
Transportation

Entering Ambulance Back

NPC Ambulance Driver
Section titled “NPC Ambulance Driver”If enabled by the server, an NPC driver can transport you to the hospital when you are dead or critically injured.
How it works:
- Server spawns an ambulance with NPC driver
- NPC drives to your location
- You’re loaded into the ambulance
- NPC drives you to the nearest hospital
- You’re automatically checked in upon arrival

Elevators

Death Screen Overlay
Section titled “Death Screen Overlay”When you are killed or critically injured, a death screen overlay appears showing:
Incident Information
Section titled “Incident Information”- Killer Identity (if enabled): Name of who killed you
- Cause of Death: Weapon or damage source
- Injury Report: Your current injury status
Interactive Controls
Section titled “Interactive Controls”- Hold to Give Up: Hold E to respawn and go to the hospital
- Bleedout Timer: Shows time until forced respawn
- Respawn Timer: Shows time until optional respawn available
Configurable Options
Section titled “Configurable Options”Server administrators can customize:
- Killer identity visibility
- Hold time for giving up
- Overlay effects and styling

Billing Patients
Section titled “Billing Patients”- Open EMS Menu (F6)
- Select “Bill Patient for Services”
- Enter amount
- Submit bill
Police Treatment
Section titled “Police Treatment”In addition to EMS personnel, police officers can provide basic medical treatment when EMS is unavailable.
What Police Can Do
Section titled “What Police Can Do”- Diagnose injuries
- Treat with basic items (bandages, medikit)
- Revive critical patients
- Heal minor injuries
Limitations
Section titled “Limitations”- Cannot access EMS-only equipment (defibrillator, medical bag)
- Cannot bill for services
- May have different treatment protocols

GPS Blips
Section titled “GPS Blips”If enabled by the server, EMS personnel can appear on each other’s GPS maps when responding to emergencies.
How GPS Blips Work
Section titled “How GPS Blips Work”- Blips show locations of all on-duty EMS players
- Updates automatically every few seconds
- Requires special GPS item (if configured)
Configuration
Section titled “Configuration”Server administrators can enable/disable GPS blips and configure:
- Refresh rate (how often blips update)
- Required item (if any)
- Blip appearance

Privacy Notice
Section titled “Privacy Notice”GPS blips reveal your location to other EMS players. If you have privacy concerns, contact your server administrators.
Low Health Alerts
Section titled “Low Health Alerts”If enabled, you’ll receive notifications when your health drops below a certain threshold.
Alert Settings
Section titled “Alert Settings”- Default threshold: 40 HP
- Notification: Title and description message
- Purpose: Remind you to seek medical attention
Note: This feature is disabled by default. Ask your server administrators to enable it.
