Player Guide

This guide covers everything players need to know to use ARS Phone on FiveM. The phone simulates a real smartphone with 30+ apps spanning communication, social media, banking, services, and entertainment.

1. Getting Started

Opening the Phone

Press M (default keybind, configurable by server admin) to open the phone. If the server requires a phone item, you must have a phone in your inventory first.

Phone UI Overview

The phone uses an iPhone-inspired interface. Key UI elements:

• Lock Screen - Swipe up to unlock (if passcode is set in Settings)
• Home Screen - Grid of app icons, swipe left/right for pages
• Status Bar - Shows time, signal bars, data balance, and battery
• Navigation - Tap apps to open, swipe down from top for notifications

Settings

Open the Settings app to customize:

• Wallpaper - Change your phone background
• Frame - Choose a phone case style
• Language - Switch between 10 supported languages
• Ringtone - Set your call ringtone
• Passcode - Set a lock screen passcode
• Icon Size - Adjust app icon scaling

Signal & Data

Your phone’s network depends on proximity to cell towers. Signal strength (0-4 bars) affects whether calls and messages succeed. If the DataFlow system is enabled, actions consume mobile data. Purchase data packages from the DataFlow app if your balance runs low.

2. Calls & Contacts

Making a Call

1. Open the Phone app
2. Use the dial pad or select a contact
3. Tap the call button
4. Wait for the other player to answer

Tip: Enable anonymous calling in the Phone app to hide your caller ID. This requires Config.CanUseAnonymous = true on the server.

Receiving Calls

Incoming calls appear as a notification. Tap Accept to answer or Decline to reject. You can also send a quick text message when declining.

Call History

The Phone app tracks recent calls with timestamps and flags (IN/OUT/MISSED). Tap any entry to call back.

Managing Contacts

1. Open the Contacts app
2. Tap + to add a new contact (name, phone number, avatar, email, organization)
3. Tap a contact to edit or delete
4. Star contacts to add them to favorites (up to 4)

NameDrop (Proximity Sharing)

When near another player:

1. The NameDrop feature detects nearby phones
2. A consent prompt appears on both devices
3. Accept to exchange contact info automatically
4. Contacts are saved to your phonebook (if AutoSaveContacts is enabled)

Note: NameDrop requires Config.NameDrop.Enabled = true and both players must be within range (default 2.0 meters).

3. Messaging

SMS (Message App)

1. Open the Message app
2. Start a new conversation or continue an existing one
3. Type your message and send
4. Supports media attachments (photos)

WhatsUp

A WhatsApp-style messaging app with group chat support.

• Direct Messages - Select a contact to start a DM
• Group Chats - Create groups with multiple participants
• Media - Send photos and media in conversations
• Read Status - See when messages are read

DarkChat

An encrypted messaging app for anonymous communication.

• Public Channels - Browse and join public channels
• Private Channels - Create password-protected channels
• Anonymous - Messages use an alias, not your real identity

Tip: DarkChat is ideal for in-game criminal roleplay where anonymity matters.

4. Social Media

Twaddle (Twitter-like)

A full social media platform inside your phone.

Getting Started:

1. Open the Twaddle app
2. Sign up with a username, password, and display name
3. Log in to start posting

Features:

• Post tweets with text and media
• Like, retweet, and comment on tweets
• Quote tweets (retweet with your own comment)
• Follow/unfollow other users
• Bookmark tweets for later
• Search tweets and users
• View notifications (likes, retweets, follows, mentions)
• Edit your profile (bio, avatar, cover photo)
• Toggle direct message permissions

Pixline (Instagram-like)

A photo-sharing social platform.

Getting Started:

1. Open the Pixline app
2. Sign up with a username and password
3. Create your profile

Features:

• Post photos with captions (from your phone gallery)
• Like and comment on posts
• Follow/unfollow other users
• View your profile and posts
• Update your profile photo

Lovy (Dating App)

A swipe-based dating app.

Getting Started:

1. Open the Lovy app
2. Create your profile (name, age, bio, gender, preferences, photos)
3. Start swiping

Features:

• Swipe right to like, left to pass
• Super-like for priority matching
• Match with players who like you back
• Message your matches
• Update or deactivate your profile
• Report inappropriate users

5. Banking & Crypto

Bank App

Manage your in-game finances from your phone.

• Balance - View your current bank balance
• History - Browse transaction history
• Invoices - View and pay outstanding bills/invoices
• Transfer - Send money to another player by server ID
• Request - Request money from another player

Tip: Transfers and invoice payments use your framework’s banking system (QB-banking, ESX banking, or Renewed-Banking).

Crypto App

Trade cryptocurrency with simulated market prices.

• Prices - View real-time crypto prices and 24h change
• Portfolio - Track your holdings and total value
• Buy/Sell - Place market or limit orders
• Order History - Review past trades
• Price Alerts - Set alerts when a coin hits a target price

6. Services & Jobs

Services App

Access the server’s service directory. Browse services by category:

Contact services directly through the app. If you have a service job, you can view and respond to incoming requests.

Taxi App

Request a taxi ride:

1. Open the Taxi app
2. Set your pickup and destination
3. Submit your ride request
4. Wait for a driver to accept
5. Track your driver’s location in real-time

Drivers: Set yourself as available, accept ride requests, and mark rides as complete.

Food App (Foodi)

Order food delivery:

1. Browse available restaurants and menus
2. Add items to your cart
3. Set your delivery location
4. Place your order
5. Track delivery status

Delivery App

Work as a delivery driver:

1. Go on duty in the Delivery app
2. Accept incoming delivery orders
3. Pick up items and deliver to the customer
4. Mark orders as complete

News App

Read and publish news articles:

• Browse the latest news feed
• Create articles (requires reporter job)
• Include cover images and streaming links

7. Entertainment

Music App

Stream music with 3D positional audio.

• Browse the NCS music library
• Search for YouTube tracks by URL
• Create and manage playlists
• Like tracks to add to your library
• View play history

Tip: Use /stopmusic to stop playback at any time.

Photos App

Manage your in-game photo gallery.

• Take photos with the in-game camera
• Photos are uploaded via Discord webhook or FiveManage
• Browse your gallery
• Delete unwanted photos

Dark Market

An underground marketplace for illicit goods.

• Browse available items
• Purchase items (paid from bank)
• Collect orders from NPC pickup locations

Note: Admins can restock the Dark Market with /darkmarket-restock.

Ads App

Post and browse classified advertisements.

• Create ads with title, description, price, and media
• Browse listings from other players
• Contact sellers directly

Yellow Page

A business directory for the server.

• Browse business listings by category
• Create your own listing with name, phone, address, and description

Emails

A full email client with inbox management.

• Read received emails (from other resources or admin broadcasts)
• Compose and send emails to other players
• Mark emails as read
• Delete emails

Tip: Server admins can send broadcast emails with /mailbroadcast.

Notes

A note-taking app with organization features.

• Create notes with title and body text
• Organize notes into folders
• Pin important notes
• Duplicate notes
• Edit and delete notes

Reminders

Task management with priorities.

• Create reminders with text, priority (low/medium/high), and due dates
• Mark reminders as complete
• Delete completed reminders
• Filter by priority

Weather

View current weather conditions and forecasts.

• Current temperature and conditions
• Hourly forecast
• Weekly forecast
• Weather alerts

Maps

GPS and location management.

• View your current location
• Save favorite locations with names
• Share your location with other players (with consent)
• Navigate to saved favorites

Calculator

A simple calculator for quick math.

DataFlow

Manage your mobile data plan (if enabled).

• View current data balance
• Browse data usage history
• Purchase data packages
• View usage by app

1. Check that you have a phone item if the server requires one
2. Verify your signal bars - low signal can block calls and messages
3. Check your data balance in the DataFlow app if actions fail
