Employee Guide

This guide is for dealership staff — interns, sales reps, senior reps, and supervisors. You don’t need any admin access: everything here happens at the dealership through the Manage panel and the world target points.

  1. Getting Hired
  2. Your Role
  3. Selling to Customers
  4. Assisted Test Drives
  5. Restocking the Lot
  6. Running Trucking Deliveries
  7. Getting Paid

A manager or supervisor hires you while standing near you. You receive a consent prompt — accept within the timeout shown and you’re on the payroll. There’s nothing to sign up for manually; if nobody has hired you, ask a dealership manager.

Your role decides which tabs of the Manage panel you can open and what actions you can take. The full matrix lives in the Owner Guide — Roles and Permissions. The short version:

Role What you can do
Intern Sell, view stock
Sales Everything an Intern can do, plus see display info
Senior Sales Everything Sales can do, plus place restock orders
Supervisor Can hire staff, edit prices, manage coupons, open/close the lot
Manager / Owner Full control: firing, funds, display editing

Financing and test drives are not tied to roles — if they’re enabled for your shop, every rep can use them.

Employee-assisted sales close through the Sales tab in the Manage panel:

  1. Open the Manage panel at your dealership (target the Manage point).
  2. Have the customer stand next to you — you must be within a few metres of each other.
  3. In the Sales tab, select the nearby customer, then pick the vehicle from your shop’s stock.
  4. Configure colours, extras, and livery with the customer, then send the purchase contract.
  5. The customer reviews and signs. Once signed, the sale completes automatically — payment taken, keys delivered, commission credited.

You earn your role’s full commission rate on every assisted sale. The customer sees a notification when you start a sale for them, so no surprise checkouts.

Supervise a customer’s test drive from the Test Drive tab:

  1. Have the customer stand near you.
  2. Start an assisted test drive and pick the vehicle — it spawns with a temporary plate that never touches their garage.
  3. The customer drives; you can end the drive remotely at any time.

If the customer walks away from the car for too long or ignores the return timer, the server’s automatic sweep cleans the vehicle up.

Senior Sales and above can place restock orders in the Orders tab: pick a model, set units, confirm. The wholesale cost comes out of the shop balance. How quickly stock arrives depends on the shop’s delivery mode — instant, delayed auto-delivery, or a trucking run that a driver physically performs (next section).

Trucking mode pays per run and keeps the lot stocked:

  1. When a trucking order is placed, a truck spawns at the supplier depot outside town (check your GPS blip).
  2. Drive to the depot and back up to the trailer dock to hitch the trailer.
  3. Deliver the trailer to the dealership and stop inside the delivery zone.
  4. Confirm the delivery — stock is added and your pay lands instantly.

Pay is driverPayPerUnit per vehicle delivered plus a flat bonus per completed run. Watch the clock: abandoned runs are cancelled after a timeout, and only so many runs may be in transit at once per shop.

Three income streams:

  • Commission — paid instantly to your bank account on every sale you’re on-site for. Assisted sales pay your full rate; self-serve sales made while you’re on the floor pay a reduced share. Standing across the map earns you nothing — be present.
  • Salary — if your shop pays salaries, they arrive automatically each pay interval straight from the business balance. Your manager sets the amount.
  • Trucking pay — per unit plus flat bonus per completed run, paid the moment you deliver.

Check what you’ve earned in the Commissions tab of the Manage panel.
