Player Guide

This guide explains how players use the ARS Multicharacter selector, create a new character, choose a spawn location, redeem extra character slots, and customize the selector UI.

  1. Character Selection
  2. Create a New Character
  3. Choose a Spawn Location
  4. Customize the UI
  5. Delete a Character
  6. Redeem Extra Character Slots

When you join the server, ARS Multicharacter shows your existing characters as portrait peds. You can browse slots, view character details, and choose which character to play.

The selector can show:

  • Server name and logo
  • Online player count
  • Existing character portraits
  • Character job, grade, cash, bank, birthday, nationality, and location
  • Character level and XP progress bar (when enabled by the server)
  • Empty character slots
  • UI layout and music controls

Select a character when you are ready to continue.

If you have an empty character slot, you can create a new character.

  1. Select the empty slot or click Create New Character.
  2. Choose your gender.
  3. Enter your first name and last name.
  4. Enter your nationality.
  5. Enter your height.
  6. Register the character.
  7. Customize your appearance in the server’s configured appearance creator.
  8. Save your appearance.
  9. Choose where your new character should spawn.

Birthdate handling depends on your framework. QBCore and QBX use YYYY-MM-DD. ESX is converted to DD/MM/YYYY before the character is created.

Tip: Use a name that follows your server’s roleplay rules. Staff may remove characters that break naming rules.

After selecting or creating a character, the spawn selector appears unless the server has disabled it.

Available spawn types can include:

Spawn type Description
Last Location Your character’s last known location
Configured Location A fixed server spawn point
House A house you own, when housing is enabled
Apartment An apartment option, when apartments are enabled
Property A property you own or can access, when supported

Select a spawn point and click Spawn. If the server uses land-cam transitions, you may see a short camera fly-in before gameplay starts.

ARS Multicharacter supports three UI layouts:

Layout Description
sidebar Sidebar profile layout
obsidian Centered layout
minimalist Right-side minimalist layout

Your selected layout is saved automatically.

If enabled by the server, you can also:

  • Toggle ambient music
  • Hide balances
  • Open Terms of Service or Rules modals
  • View server branding and online player count

If the server enables player deletion, each character card can show a delete option.

  1. Click the delete button for the character you want to remove.
  2. Confirm the character name when prompted.
  3. The character is permanently deleted.

Warning: Deleting a character is irreversible. Bank balances, properties, inventories, jobs, and other character data may be lost.

If the delete button does not appear, the server has disabled it with Config.EnableDeleteButton = false.

If your server sells extra character slots, the selector can show a slot redemption panel.

You can redeem a slot code in two ways:

Method How to use
Selector UI Open the slot unlock panel and paste the code
Chat command Type /redeemcharslot <code>

Tebex purchases use the Tebex transaction ID as the redeem code. If you bought slots from Tebex, paste the transaction ID from your receipt or order history.

Redeemed codes are one-time use. A code that has already been redeemed cannot be used again.

Command Description
/logout Return to the character selector from in-game
/closeNUI Close the active multicharacter NUI
/redeemcharslot <code> Redeem a generated slot code or Tebex transaction ID

If you are stuck on the selector, ask staff to check:

  1. Whether your account has an available character slot
  2. Whether the server’s appearance resource is running
  3. Whether your slot code or Tebex transaction ID has already been redeemed
  4. Whether Config.EnableDeleteButton allows self-deletion
